Rónán also teaches a Sean-Nós Dance class from 3:30pm to 6:30pm on Friday 24th of July.  This class starts off with Rónán’s Alphabet of steps and progresses to Step Creation, after which he teaches some of his advanced techniques and steps.  This class will enrich those with an interest in Sean-Nós Dance and build on budding dancers knowledge and skills.  It is an enjoyable 3 hours of dance which will bring interested dancers on a journey towards enpowering them to create and build interesting rhythms and evolve routines which they can then apply to their dancing.

Ronan Regan will teach a beginners Sean-Nós Dance Class and an intermediate Sean-Nós Dance Class each day of the Festival.  He looks forward to performing on stage during the opening ceremony and also for the Sean-Nós Dance Party Event.  Ronan is excited to return to Russia for a third time to perform and pass on his love of Sean-Nós Dance.

Ronan's beginners class will be a fun and friendly introduction to Sean-Nós Dance, were there will be an opportunity to make great strides in the learning of this art form across the five days of the festival.  Ronan will begin by teaching his celebrated Alphabet of Steps. The Alphabet of Steps are a step-by-step progression of the dance skills and techniques needed to become a Sean-Nós Dancer.  As progress allows; Ronan will guide students in ‘Step Creation’, introducing the beginning dancer to the art of creativity in sean-nós dance.  Across the days of the festival, dancers will learn to dance a plethora of steps from Ronan's rich repertoire and gain immersion into and understanding of the vibrant Irish tradition of Sean-Nós Dancing.

Ronan's intermediate class will also incorporate the above at a commensurate pace, and will further delve into the art of creativity, self composition and improvisation in Sean-Nós Dance.

The intermediate dancer will gain some of the great skills of Sean-Nós Dance across the days of the festival; including progressing their phrasing and rhythm, adopting a flexible and dynamic approach to performance and develop their ability to embody the true spirit of Sean-Nós Dance.  The intermediate Sean-Nós Dancers will not only learn the intricacies and tools of the dance but will gain the ability to vary steps and respond and engage in conversation with the nuances of the music.

In addition, Ronan will teach steps from his repertoire; comprising of his own compositions and steps from the rich tradition of Sean-Nós Dancing in Ireland.
