Pray Sing

Sing in Spring,
with verve and vim,
side-step lethargy
yon wintry whim
and spring the clasp
that contains your wing.

In tepid flight initiate
a
skip-stone,
pebble-skim,
and with
ping-pong synaptic
fling
embark upon
a soaring temerity,
a resonant rumble,
a bombastic boom
a blowhole of verdant fireside
verse, allow insight to incite a
skite of non-solemn song, pray sing!
