Last Thursday, August 30th, the Alberta Street Public House will be exhibiting the work of Artists Tim Kerr and Maldon Meehan. This collaborative show is a celebration of old truths, both living and past and will include performances of music and dance. Opening night will include live performance, including spooky old-timey ballads by the Rank Stranders, traditional Irish music by Landon Kun and Friends and performances from local Irish dancers. The two artists meet last March at an Irish Music Camp here in the Northwest. They began talking about passions and quickly found kinship in their love of music and art. It was then that they envisioned a show together that would incorporate both art and performance. Tim Kerr is a visual artist, photographer and musician. He is perhaps best know in Portland for his work for his musical work, including the bands The Big Boys, Court Reporters, Poison 13, Bad Mutha Goose and the Brothers Grimm, The Monkeywrench, Jack O’Fire, Lord High Fixers, King Sound Quartet, The Now Time Delegation and the Total Sound Group Direct Action committee. He has shown his paintings in New York, Virginia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, London and Portland and on the Vans web site. TIM'S ART:
